The JACO Report

Ah, yes, the dreaded JACO report begins! *cackles*

Here we go! The regulars are first:

-->MY HiME: Great series, even if it's confusing at times. I STILL want Mikoto's sword, BC! *EG*
-->Chrono Crusade: I missed a couple of IMPORTANT epis, but I'm still following along. Love it.
-->Final Approach: Amusing half-series. Worth the 13 minutes. Though I'd have killed someone if I had a random stranger show up at MY door claiming to be my government-issued fiancee! :P
-->Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Second Series: Like it, even if it's confusing most of the time.
-->Tenjou Tenge: Amusing at times, yet deadly serious. May buy it later (if it comes out in a collection).

This week's feature: Appleseed.

After 4(!) tries, we FINALLY got it underway. I must say, it was worth the wait. If you have the chance to watch it in theaters, DO IT! (This means YOU, Sailor! *chuckles*)

Potlucks: Because of the Appleseed technical difficulties, there was only ONE potluck shown this week. Fortunately, it was the ONE series I desperately want licenced here in the US (which means it will come out on the Anime Channel, which I DON'T have!). This after reading the first volume of the manga, mind you. What is it? It's called Mahou Sensei Negima!, and it deals with the new English teacher at a Japanese all-girls middle school. This new teacher happens to be a 10-year old boy AND a wizard. Yes folks, it's "Harry Potter" Japanese style! (For any Love Hina fans, he's the creator of the manga and anime. And you know what THAT entails! Yes, folks, there's NUDITY! *giggles*) Yes, the manga self-references HP at least twice--in other words, it's a blatant rip-off of HP, and it makes no effort to hide it. *grins* At least I wasn't the only one who knew about this manga series at JACO... Anyhoo. After watching one episode, I LOVE IT! ME WANT MORE! *EG*

Well, that seems to be it for now. If I forget anything, I'll amend this entry later. But for now, I'm out. :o)
