The Company of Wolves

Now it seems to me, I much prefer
the company of wolves;
they have a sense of justice
that to me is understood.
They always expect me to be myself
don't have to put on airs;
you know it wouldn't work anyway
under that golden stare.

They never disappoint me
as humans often do;
once they take you as a friend
they always love you true.
They listen with an open heart
of nature's purest form;
without the judgments humans place
upon, the acceptable norm.

Some say their unpredictable,
then I stop and wonder,
at that over rated group, "Mankind"
who rob and kill and plunder.
I thank you for your kind advice
your giving all the while
but I'am safer in, the company of
my sisters of the wild.
