The Rest Of It...
So I promised the rest of the update asap, so here it is. Life is pretty good right now. I got offered a new job working for Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers as a manager. The pay is wicked and it has benefits, so I obv. took it. PLUS its Monday to Friday so I get me weekend back!!! YAY!! Tom was getting pretty moody about my messed up work schedule.
We are still living at Mom and Dad's, which is cool. It rocks for the summer cause we can put addy to bed and then either go out or have people over cause they are in bed as well and can listen for her. I dont like to take advantage of that priviledge, but I won't deny it rocks. THe housing situation is all messed right now. We had a house we had pretty much bought and were moving into on September 1. the reason I say pretty much bought, is that it was a private sale from a neighbour. BUT nothing can ever be simple in my life.
To add chaos to the mix, rumor had it that my Grandparents neighbours (they live like 5 minutes down the road) were selling their farm. Her husband passed away not that long ago and its just her and her daughter. They farm 125 acres (which is a fair size farm out here) but its too much for them seeing as they are both getting up there in age. Dad also already farms the attached land, seeing as its his parents.
So we went and looked at the property. There's 120 workable acres, 2 houses, a huge bank barn a 2 bay shop and another shop thats housing tractors right now. The houses are older farm houses, but in good condition. The main house has so many amazing early 1900 characteristics, its amazing. Its out dated with wall paper etc, but thats an easy fix.
So anyways, we made an offer. Things then got really messy cause they need to buy a house etc and they made an offer on my sister house. so we played around with a bunchof ideas and numbers etc, but in the end, my sister and her husband said no. So now we are back to the point that we want to buy the farm but we have to find them a place to live first. So now I guess we wait... and we all know how well I do that......
So ya, thats the big excitement of my life right now. Thrilling, I know. My back is also beibng a pain again. I've been having it injected for almost a year, once a month. The injections worked amazing! But now they've stopped working at all. Also, the space he injects has gotten too small for him to be able to do it anymore. So I'm back to being in pain all the time and having limited movement. I've had a few other issues that have sent me to the ER, for example when I can't pee, but they just keep telling me my back isnt bad enough to operate on and I'm just going to have to live with it. I can't believe that. I've been hospitalized 6 times in the last year cause I can't empty my bladder, but thast not serious. WTF!! How can they not count that as poor quality of living!?!?
I'm pretty frusterated with that, but what can you do right? I'm not a doctor.
