Forgive the abruptness of this question I have a problem with this sort of thing but if I may ask, which of you arrived here dead? Or, technically dead, as far as your respective worlds were concerned?

penny, touya, cassandra of troy, cedric diggory

You know Robbie and I were. What matter were you talking about up there?

I was aware about Robbie. Unfortunately, I never was given the opportunity to discuss it with him.

If I may ask, do you believe that since coming here, you've been changed in some way? I don't mean that in any sort of spiritual sense. More physically, I suppose. Or in any other way.

I believe that since coming here I've been changed in a lot of ways. Why do you ask?

Do you feel that you've changed physically? As though you are not quite the same person that you were before? Obviously, you are not missing any limbs. I'm not sure how to explain what I mean.

I think that not being the same person I was before is more psychological than anything else, and of course the brain is part of the body, so I'm not sure how to keep it from being all interconnected in my mind.

I know for a fact that it has changed us all physically and spiritually, perhaps the greater the trauma, the greater the change.

Your turn. What brought on this bout of curiosity?

I experienced a physical change, beyond the healing of my wounds. I was just wondering if I was the only one.

You're not. We all have, to some extent. It seems to be in the nature of what happened to us.

What change?

The change was trivial. A growth was gone. What bothers me more is wondering what else has changed that I'm not aware of. You understand, I'm sure.

Perhaps the growth was cancerous. The tree healed us completely. If the growth was harmful, it makes sense it would be gone now.

Regardless, it is a question that has gotten my attention lately.

You might want to ask more than just those who turned up at the moment of death.

Jemaine wears glasses, but I would be very surprised if he actually needs them to see.

Perhaps so.

Do you think there were any changes that weren't for the better?

Somehow I doubt it. The way Mikney explained it, the tree made us into the best versions of ourselves it could.

That's a subjective judgment. Although, I suppose, that applies more to the soul than the body.

I suppose if someone was overly fond of bad eyesight or a limp they wouldn't be happy about being restored. There may be another example that's more suitable, but I can't think of it.

What type of ailment do you think a person might miss?

A difficult question to answer:

-Some men, I know, are overly fond of their scars. They view them as a mark of honor, a badge of courage, if you will. But on the ideal body, would there be such a thing?

-A people known as the Amazons take pride in removing a certain gland from their bodies. Hardly a healthy or appealing initiation, but it is considered a sign of membership, of sisterhood.

-Pregnancy might be considered an ailment, by some.

-A king once had a peculiar ailment. Anything he touched immediately turned to gold. Not a curse I would wish upon anyone, but one might understand how such a thing could be missed.
