WHO: Cho and Robbie, and probably anyone else who hears her freakout
WHAT: a case of mistaken identity
WHEN: Monday afternoon
WHERE: somewhere close to the fort in Loiol
Cho felt like it was time to take stock of her life. Pros and cons, good and bad, the reasons to keep going against the reasons to give up. In her mind she drew a line down the middle of a piece of imaginary paper.
They were out of the desert and headed for civilization - good. Half of her friends were still gone, and now she knew that one of them was also nuts... not a close friend, but still a friend - bad. She knew that Kale and Niko were all right - good. The food with the caravan had gotten better - good. The reason it had gotten better was that she'd pissed the military cook off so badly he'd refused to have anything to do with her and just stood watching and glaring - bad. She still felt alone, more alone than she had in years - very bad. The Druid girl was slowly but surely taking over Rowan - bad.
Maybe this hadn't been such a good idea. Cho shook her head to clear it and kept on walking. There was someone in the road ahead of her. She didn't know him, but she also didn't know this town, and she didn't want to get lost. She'd just hurry past him. Whoever he was, he probably wouldn't notice.
