Quahl is gone, Lhoral and the Mother with her, back, safe in Elven territory, and there's a human caravan approaching. He can feel all of them, feel the sand under his feet, feel the breezes and the movement of the sky. Life springs up in his path, plants curling up from the ground beneath him.
He'll have to learn how to control this power, but that almost seems unimportant, right now. Like if it flows through him, that's all he needs. All he'll ever need.
