Who: Demyx, OPEN! What: Bookie decides it's damn time he does something. Demyx is out for a walk, thinking about things. It's hard. :( When: Saturday, March 13th Where: Out and about!
Daxter hadn't been out much since catching up with older-talking-overprotective Jak, which was becoming very dull. So today he'd decided that he needed time away from this newest, beyond bizarre situation...and had snuck out while Jak was in the bathroom.
Now he was just walking around, making a bit of a nuiscance of himself for attention. When he spotted the blonde guy with a lute walking by, looking bored, he jogged after him and fell into step beside him. "Great day huh?"
Demyx blinked as he looked at the redhead- ok, well, it sounded like Daxter, but... didn't look like him. This place was weird. Deciding to roll with it, he gave a sheepish smile. "Uh, yea, I guess." He hadn't really noticed the weather, honestly, and looked up to see what it was doing.
It was a little chilly and damp, but so what? "So what're you doing out here anyway?" Daxter asked, launching straight into occupying himself by being nosy. "Going to perform somewhere?"
"Nope, not right now," Demyx replied with a shrug, "Just walking." Though maybe he should have been playing... when was he supposed to play at the Stoat, again? Shoot.
"Sounds pretty dull if you ask me..." Not that Demyx had, but that didn't mean Daxter wouldn't give it right now. "You should play something. I bet it'd liven things up in the area." Translation: We're being dull here let's do something.
Demyx was not very good at reading into other people's statements, so he just smiled and said, "Ok, if you think so." He lifted his lute and started playing the first thing that came to mind, decided he didn't want to play that, and stated playing something else.
Daxter thought that he wasn't bad. It wasn't like he'd had tons of music back home, but he had heard some on occasion. "You're pretty good. Bet it took some practice huh?" It was a complient really, but given the fact it was Daxter it might not have sounded that way.
The blonde nodded, still playing as he talked. "I play a lot, yea." Humming now as he played, he changed songs again to something with words. No singing yet, though.
"So did you play back home?" Daxter asked, after listening a bit more. He sort of tapped his fingers now and then in time with the music. "Or did you just jump in feet first?"
"No, I played back home a lot." Actually it was the only thing you could rely on him to do without watching him like a hawk. Send him on a mission? He'll shove it off onto someone else. Make him watch over something? He'd fall asleep. But those were boring, and music was not.
"Well I can see why you would," Daxter said easily. He leaned back against a nearby wall. "I mean, work sucks." Not that he didn't ditch it whenever possible.
"No kidding." Ditching work was awesome, in the 'now I don't have to do it' way and not in the 'oh crap I'm gonna get yelled at' way. Demyx played a moment before asking. "So, do you play anything?"
"Maybe I should sit in one day." It would certainly be something to do. He scanned the crowd of passing people to see if anything interesting was up. Nope nothing.
