Becasue I am lazy here's what Jacob posted about the proposal and a pic for those who missed it.
"So we went to NORWESCON this weekend, the pacific northwest's premier Science fiction/fantasy convention. Laurie ran a fashion show event on friday night and about 200 people showed up (a little less than 10% of the whole convention). Everything went fantastic. At the very end,
right as people stood up to leave the Emcee told them all to sit their butts back down. At that point she calls Laurie up on stage and i came up, Laurie had this look of "oh my god, what did you break!?" I mumbled into the microphone and pulled out the ring, got down on one knee, the crowd began to scream and cheer, her mom began to cry, she started to gasp and cry and i popped the question... She said yes and started to shake her hand, i get the ring on her and the crowd just explodes into cheers and hoots and we kiss and she's crying. She looks out to the crowd and asks "So who's gonna do our flowers and my dress and..." she lists off all the wedding things and everyone starts laughing. We kiss again and she huurys off the stange to get behind
stage and starts to cry, she's got stuff to do now and she's in a rush but she's extatic.
According to the rest of the convention, I've got berrings of Chrome Steel..."
