busy day...
So today was one of my last days off in my current rotational schedule, and at one point in fooling around with my niece, my boyfriend randomly stepped on all of my stuffed animals - princess, moose, piglet, and then flamingo...
So my niece decided she would save them, brought a basket to take them with her to her room while making ambulance siren noises, then a few minutes before bedtime, she brought them back letting me know they were all mended.
Not really...
Flamingo has a hole where her leg bends and has a sewn dart to make it look like she has knees... Well now, the dart is all pulled apart and the stuffing is coming out of her :( and of course, no one is taking responsibility for her injuries!
And then among more important things in life, my niece had her first day of Kindergarten today. She took the bus for the very first time as Mommy watched on at the end of the street. The bus took her on a quick trip to school as it is only about 5 minutes away from our house... She seemed to have a good time yet didn't want to talk about it too much except her mom said she definitely wants to go back tomorrow... so that's good news!
And last but definitely not least, we had some fun with my nephew Zack tonight as Sean held him for the first time since he was born in January 2007. And wow, did it pull at my heartstrings... he's a great guy and I hope one day we're able to have one of our own...
So after all this, I think it's time for bed as my new schedule has me at work from Wednesday to Saturday 11am until 10pm... see you Sunday, pretty much!
