Ok, men... just a head's up that THIS post is all about girly perfume stuff and makeup. Feel free to skippy-skip this post and move on to the next one on your friends page, which I'm SURE is about football or tools of some kind! *grin*
SQUEE!!!!!! My big ol'
BPAL order came in today! Hooray! My very first order was something like a year or more ago, and I've just now started to run out, so it was certainly time. If you like wearing perfume, but hate all the mass produced crap they sell in the stores, I highly recommend BPAL perfume oils. They have NO alcohol, so they don't have that acrid, eye-watering smell that I find in ALL store brands.
My new goodies:
Jack - my favorite so far! Ordered a 5mL bottle this time, so it'll last longer. I wore this scent for the wedding! It's supposed to smell like a warm jack-o-lantern, but I certainly detect some kind of buttery scent in there, as well. I loooooooooooooove this oil!
(the rest are imps, which are sample-sized tubes)
Inferno - Cinnamon, bitter almond and bitter orange (neroli). I can tell without even opening it that the cinnamon is WAY too strong.
Darkness - "Bottled Gloom" says the description. How can I not order that???
Wrath - My personal sin-of-choice.
Shub-Niggurath - BPAL has a whole slew of Cthulu-themed oils. This one was rec'd to me on the BPAL forum as a nice one for folks who like musky, spicy scents.
Scherezade - another musky/spicy scent with a Middle Eastern feel. Supposedly saffron-based.
The Raven - Violet, iris, sandalwood. mmmmMMMMMmmmmm :)
These next three were all freebies. BPAL seems to be very generous with the bonuses. :)
Le Serpent qui Danse - Flowerdy. :) Violet, vanilla, and gardenia. More girly than I would have been able to stand about 2 years ago.
Kung Shi - Sandalwood and mango (yum!), among others. Very interested in this one...
Mouse's Long and Sad Tale - "Vanilla, two ambers, sweet pea and white sandalwood"
I'm sitting here with all 10 bottles fanned out in front of me on the desk and it's like I'm in perfume heaven, people. Despite the fact that I'm already in pajamas, I'm tempted to put one of these little jewels on and strut around the house.
So, on the same theme; I'm TOTALLY into makeup, recently. It's crazy, I know. I own more makeup right now than I probably have ever bought combined. Hee! My particular obsession is eyeshadow. I am insanely jealous of girls who can wear outrageous colors and get away with it. Up until a few weeks ago, I was strictly a neutral, earth-tones kind of girl. I have made an effort to branch out and try some new colors that I never would have thought to use before. The other day I wore BLUE!!! Surprisingly, it didn't look trashy or garish. Whaddayaknow? I'm looking forward to going to a concert or something where I can totally go crazy with the colors and not be beaten with sticks on the sidewalk.
I can no longer resist the BPAL oils. I must go play...
