Be Mime
So the other film, that I can share with you guys, that I have made since being in school is called 'Be Mime'. I did this project for my Narrative Production class and I was the director. For this class we were separated into two groups (so four movies got made in total, two by each group) and each member of the group took on a different position for each film. I was director for one (the one posted below) and Artistic Directing (scenery/set dressing/props/costumes/hair/makeup etc.) for the other. I cannot post that one here though because the director has not made it available online as of yet.
So like I said, this film is one I directed and it was definitely a learning experience. Directing for film and directing for theatre are way more different than I could have ever realized. I mean, I still have no problem with working and directing actors, but doing all the previous (shot lists, storyboards, floor plans etc.) was a lot of work and way new to me, and also getting out of my proscenium state of mind was tough. But all and all it was a good experience, I learned a ton, and I know that practice makes perfect, so I will just keep trying to do my best. Either way I am pretty proud of the film, so I hope that you guys enjoy it.
