So, I am back, and a lot has happened in the past two years since I was last active on here. So I figure that I should give you an update on my life.
First off, I got married. Best thing I have ever done. My husband Kit is amazing and wonderful and I couldn't be happier. We had a very small ceremony in front of family right before Christmas 2015. It was beautiful.
Second, I got into Loyola University Chicago's School of Communications in their Digital Media and Storytelling Masters Program. My focus for the program is in production, and I have been making some fun short films in some of my classes (I will post those later). I have made a couple of friends. Though being older than almost all of the other students has been a little tough. Most of the other people in my cohort (we take a number of classes together) went straight from undergrad to graduate school (which I think is kinda crazy). I had seven years in between which made it a little hard to adjust to going back to school but some of these kids have no idea what the real world is like. Anyways the program is two years long so I should be graduating in May, thank goodness because I don't think that we could afford for me to not be working any longer than that. I am so lucky that I have a husband who can and does support me while I go back to school.
I got another puppy, his name is Giles. He is two years old now. Randy gets long with him very well, they are the cutest brothers.
I became an aunt! My sister had a beautiful baby girl named Ivy. When I got married, I also took on 3 step children, the youngest bad a beautiful baby girl about a month later named Lorelai, so I am a step grandma (life is weird isn't it?)
So that is kinda it for now. I am loving living in Chicago. We live in Wrigleyville, I have become a huge Cubs fan (and not just because they are good now). We have a little apartment that we share with our three cats and the two dogs. Kit's oldest daughter lives here so we get to see her a good bit. We have a local bar that we are regulars at and have made friends there. We are part of a Trivia team that plays at the bar once a week. I am excited about what is to come, and glad to be back to share it with you.
