Cassie, I don't care if you think you're odd because I feel like singing when I see you

In honor of my new Skins-tastic moodtheme, I am making my first post in over 3 and a half months. Not as though I made many posts before, but that's life. I figure that I enjoy reading Ashley's journal quite a lot and all she does is give a synopsis of her day. And add a funny image. So I shall at least try the synopsis. Even if I could find a funny image, my LJ is notoriously anti HTML and hates me with a passion so it probably wouldn't show up anyways.

English class was pretty boring - all we did was take a multiple choice test in preparation for the AP test. Snooze.

Math was only moderately more exciting as all I did was ignore La Plant and do the next two nights' homework so that I didn't have to do it over the weekend as Mutti, Vati, and I are GOING UP TO DISNEYLAND for the weekend. With a side stopover at Caltech on the way up.

Test in US History- on WWII and "The Start of the Cold War." As I spent ALL OF YESTERDAY AFTERNOON studying, I think I did pretty well.

In Psych today we talked about phobic disorder and watched a movie about the use of virtual reality to cure extreme phobias. The height segment was not that bad but the spider one freaked me out. I knew they were only virtual spiders but....eeesh. Anyone here know that there is a fear of opening your eyes? I'm not really sure how you'd live your daily life with that particular fear.

We finished up the yearbook today, y'all. I'm so excited. We practically had to sit on this one kid named Eric to get him to actually do his work and it was muy annoying. When Jess (who had babysitting duty) went to go get lunch, she said to me, "hey, can you watch over the little weirdo while I go get lunch?" right where he could hear her. Now I'm a bitch at the best of times, and I hate this lazy little mofo just as much as the next person, BUT STILL.

I gave my presentation on Bierstadt in Art History today. It went well but as it was a lengthy powerpoint I was in front of the class for twenty minutes, which was about typical for the assignment. Anyone with a fear of public speaking (which I thankfully do not have) is going to find it a particularly awful kind of torture.

I left right after school but didn't even get all the way home for remembering "Oh, crap! I have to go to English class and fill out that stupid AP form!" So I made an illegal (?) u-turn and got back to school.

I got to chat more with Mrs.Phillips (my english teacher), and it was awesome because she is my favorite teacher evar. A sampling of our discussion topics: Poe, Threadless, and The Twilight Zone. She also encouraged me to apply to MIT and says she thinks I could make it in.

And now I am relaxing because I don't have to go to school tomorrow and consequently don't have anything to worry about at the moment.

I just couldn't resist.

cats, mrs. phillips, yearbook, mood theme, cute!
