It's always the 7th Graders
So, my 7th Grade boys were in for their sectional rehearsals this morning, and I had my 7th Grade girls jumping in and out as we worked on key sections of music. One of our pieces has a ton of religious references, so I have been fielding questions about it.
One 7th Grade boy raises his hand. "Mrs. S, will this song make people uncomfortable if they don't follow this religion?"
Before I can say anything, one 7th Grade girl answers him. "Why? Music is music." She points to the lyrics in question. "Just insert upper level being of choice here."
