My little girl woke me up at 2:30 this morning with a barking dry cough. She was crying because in her 3 years of life, she's never had this kind of cough. Especially not at night. So, I put her humidifier on and soothed her as best as I could.
This morning she sneezed and mucus came spurting out *blech*. So I knew that she had a nasty cold. *sigh* So much for my plans of taking her out today and enjoying the freedom of having a full driver's license and a working car.
But I must admit spending the morning doing chores, making the bed and cuddling with my angel is a very good thing (shut up Martha).
At least she's on antibiotics already due to an ear infection. I'm sooo glad that she's willing to take whatever medicine I give her. She can be such a good girl. I love her to bits.
But I'm worried about her too. It may only be a cold but you have to watch that there's no fever, and that the cough doesn't get worse or have fluid build up in her lungs. She's strong, but her little body is vulnerable. As are all small children.
Oh well on a slightly different note...
