Xenites -- Let's Play!!!
Remember the fabulous "Five Things" Meme that went around the SG-1 community a while back? (and I probably still have a couple prompts left I didn't finish, sorry, but I DID write a LOT of them and they got LONG! :D) I believe this meme is still going strong in its own LJ community, as well, it's just such a fun concept.
I think we should totally start this going around the Xena community!!!!!
(or re-start it if it went around before I arrived and I'm oblivious :))
So, I'll be the first victim!! (I'm so bogged down in so many HUGE projects right now, it would be nice to knock out a couple of smaller pieces in an organized format!)
For those new to the game, here's how it works. You reply with a prompt of 5 things you want to know about a Xena character or the Xenaverse. Things like "5 Times Joxer actually DID catch on to what was going on between his friends", or "Five things Ares wishes he never said", or "Five moments Xena was left breathless". Then I write them for you. The replies can be simple sentences or mini-fics. The muse dictates.:)
You can offer mulitple prompts to choose from, but I'm only going to make a hefty effort to complete one from each person until I've at least finished the first round. If I get inspired after that I may come back to the extras.:)
There's NO REQUIREMENT to post in your LJ just becuase you offer a prompt. I'd be thrilled if lots of other Xena writers picked this up, because it almost always produces some AWESOME reading material (can't promise that for my own writing, but...LOL), and I'm always hungry for brilliant Xena snippets. But please post prompts, one and all, no obligations.
Even if you're not really in the Xena fandom but know just enough to think of a prompt that strikes your fancy feel free to jump in.:)
For reference, my writing-comfort-zone requests: I write best if Xena herself is in the mix somewhere. I'll write almost any Xena het pairing. I only femslash Xena with Gabrielle (friendship, romantic friendship, or subtext are all fair game). I don't write m/m. I don't know enough Hercules canon for crossovers, but I can write Xena/Herc or Xena/Iolaus if it's not specific to a Herc ep. I'm BAD at fluff or humour, but you can try me if you can stomach my attempts.;)
