Ria practically skips into the Student Center, her eyes bright and her cheeks rosy. "Hi, y'all!" Someone's in a good mood. She digs into her backpack. "I brought some Mary Kay stuff my cousin sent - anyone want to try it?"
"I just might take you up on that, Ria," Valla remarks from where she's coming in just behind the Fiona. Tucked under her arm is a white box with a clear plastic panel in it. "My mom sent me some orange chocolate - I figured I'd bring it along." She sets the box carefully down beside the other goodies; any observers will notice that the chocolates are molded into the shapes of chickens, rabbits, and other Easter shapes.
"Purple...purple..." Ria murmurs, digging in her backpack. "Let's see...that's blue, that's more of a blue-violet...."
She comes up with about three little pink plastic cases. "These are more lavender and blue-violet, but will they do?" she asks, holding them out for Rita-Anne's inspection.
"Ooh, that's just the colors I want for my hair," Ticklepurr says.
"Hey Rita," she calls to the Pooka as she returns to examine the selection of Manic Panic and Punky Colours dyes on the table, "Do you have any hair dye in those colors?"
"Cool!" Ticklepurr says. She picks up the bottle of pink hair dye and examines the rest of the collection. "Ah, this would be perfect!" she says, selecting a jar of Manic Panic Ultra Violet. She looks at the instructions and stares at her face in a nearby mirror for a moment, then she dampens her hair and towel-dries it.
After separating out several chunks of hair around her face, she slips on a pair of latex gloves (somebody was clever enough to leave a pile of them on the hair dye table, it looks like...) and begins applying the Ultra Violet dye to the hair on the back and sides of her head.
"Hey, Ria," Ticklepurr says from by the hairdye table. "Glad you could make it." To the assembled crowd in the room, she says, "If anyone would like to give me a hand, I'm totally hopeless with makeup and I'd really like to learn how to do it properly. That's what I get for living in family full of hippie farmers, I suppose," she says with a grin and a shrug.
"If you'd like to help me out, that'd be great," Ticklepurr says. "I mean, I've got a general idea of, you know, how to put on mascara and stuff....but I don't have a clue what to do with the rest of it and how to choose what colors will look good on me..."

There's a bottle of pink hair dye on the end of the table.

"And if anyone wants a hand with makeup, I'd be glad to help." She laughs gaily. "Momma insisted I learn how to 'make myself pretty.'"
