Week 32, Monday After Classes - Swimming Pool

Mar 24, 2005 09:38

At the swimming pool, with her normal swimsuit. Unconsiousally she itchs the back her leg. She has a slightly haggard appearance, as if she isn't quite getting enough sleep. Standing up tall, she dives into the deep end and starts her normal work out routine.

Longshadow's red speedo seems startingly bright against the pallor of his skin. After testing the water with one narrow, extended foot, the lanky Sluagh slides in, completely dunking himself. He comes up with black hair streaming in his eyes--and a wide grin.

"bonjour, Mam'zelle. Do you mind company?"

It looks like Longshadow and Naida aren't the only ones who want a watery workout. Rita-Anne steps out of the girl's change room wearing an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini. The irony of the situation seems lost on her.

She waves at the other two changelings, then does a cannon-ball far enough away so as to not splash them.

"Je ne m'occupe pas de monsieur," Kendra replies in French. "I don't think we have met yet. I'm Lady Kendra ni Fiona." She states.

When Rita-Anne waves, Kendra breaks away from Longshadow long enough to wave back.

Rita-Anne was able to hear Kendra's reply to Longshadow before she went under, so when she breaks the surface, she swims over to Kendra and Longshadow and says "Ce va?" (loosely translated as "What's up?").

(The French should have been: Tous les deux parlez-vous français?)

"Mais non!" Rita-Anne says while treading water. "Je ne mapelle pas Canadianne. Touts les Canadians parlous la Francais perfectmont, et je suis Rita-Anne."

(("Of course not! My name isn't Canadian. All Canadians speak French perfectly, and I'm from Rita-Anne." And I'm very very sorry for my mangling of this language! I stopped taking French in highschool.))

Kendra takes a minute to try and make sure she understands the pooka, treading water all the while.

"Ainsi votre nom est Rita-Anne et êtes-vous canadien corrigez-vous?(So your name is Rita-Anne and you are Canadian correct?)"

((OOC: I've been using either Altavista or Google translations, they help as I speak about four words of French))

"Je vois qu'il sera impossible d'impressionner l'un ou l'autre de vous deux beautés avec mon accent," Longshadow drawls, swimming to position himself between the two. "Permettez-moi de se présenter. Je suis Longshadow, de Paris."

((OOC: I see it will be impossible to impress either of you two beauties with my accent. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Longshadow, from Paris.))

"vous êtes de Paris? Vous a fait l'aiment? (You are from Paris? Did you like it?)" Kendra asks. Her accent is flawless, a little surprising considering her next statement. "je n'ai jamais été, mais je veux aller. Pourquoi vous venez ici? (I have never been, but I want to go. Why did you come here?)"

Rita-Anne looks interested. She's lived in Paris briefly (for about a week) and tries to remember if she met Longshadow.
