Setting a slow warm up pace, he glances over to the boy beside him. It is comforting to have the companionship. He briefly contemplates making a game out of the morning run, but he knows he could never win against the satyr in a straight out sprint. Best to test his endurance first. Horus sets in for a nice even pace, nothing too slow, but not an all out run.

He keeps his pace matching that of Horus, his stride smooth and easy. His breath can be seen in the cool, morning air. He looks over at the boy next to him and smiles. I wonder if he would be willing to cheer me on at the competition? Well all I can do is ask. “Horus, this week there is competition coming up. I am being curious if you would like to be going along? I even am not minding if you are cheering the American participants.”

"I've heard you mention this competition a couple times and have been meaning to ask you about it. I would definitely be interested in going along! I was just going to spend the week off here at school catching up on some things."
As they approach the top of the stadium, Alexi realizes Horus intends to run down the 180 steps of the stadium.
"And while I can't guarantee I won't be looking at the other participants, I'd have to say I'll definitely be cheering for you. I'm not American by birth or by any stretch of legality. And even then, I feel more loyalty to friends and family than I do towards country."
