Week 31, In the library (and all over the school)

Mar 16, 2005 13:32

((OOC: Takes place after this thread. This is also the only smut warning you're gonna get, people, not that this is really all that smutty.))

I dunno, Bonnie thinks, eying the Boggan sitting two tables down from her. Willy said she's really scary, but she looks nice to me. Gnawing her pencil like it's a huge bone and--Bonnie's thoughts stop ( Read more... )

"If it pleases you..." Longshadow's tongue flickers over his lips, an instant of pink on black. He squeezes Gudgeon's hand in return, suddenly looking far less poised than normal. "In truth, I've been wondering all week exactly how one courts a Nocker. Obviously whoever did this is far more intimate with mechanics of such a feat than I."

"Not that I'd object to receiving a note like this from you, L.," Gudge responds, presenting him with the final version of the note. "This is the one that Freida said was delivered to her place, complete with a box of roses." He opens the box that's under his arm, showing the flowers to Longshadow. "And, while flowers are nice, I think Guiness Stout will get you farther."

"So," Gudge continues, "have you pissed off anyone lately, who'd want to fuck you around like this? I'm pretty sure I've been too busy to get anyone's knickers in a twist."

Longshadow arches a brow. "Freida? Didn't we both piss her off the other day?"

"Goodwife Shanks?" Vincent considers the thought. "I am beginning to form an unpleasant picture in my mind, one that is most distasteful."

"Miss Bonnie, you claimed that you found this in the library. Under what circumstances did this missive come to you?"

All at once, the idea of passing the blame doesn't seem like such a good idea. "Please--Willy hates her! She might have only been trying to hurt them like I was!"

The Sluagh nods as if to himself. "So Goodwife Shanks was at the root of this."

He looks towards Longshdow, and his face is more grave than it has ever been. "Friend Longshadow... I can not wonder The Sluagh nods as if to himself. "So Goodwife Shanks was at the root of this."

He looks towards Longshdow, and his face is more grave than it has ever been. "Friend Longshadow... I begin to wonder if you have been the target of some prejudice, and not one with a sexual basis."

Xandros appears on the scene. The satyr is clutching a copy of the love note in his hand. He has a fire in his eyes and walks with an aggressive posture. As he gets near it seems like a good idea to possibly take a few steps back.

Xandros overhears Vincent's comment. "So it's fake, I thought so. And Freida's responsible for it." Xandros grits his teeth and looks at Longsadow. "I heard what the other students have been saying about you, and you don't deserve that type of ridicule even if you and Gudge are knocking boots. She's going to pay." The satyr grinds his fist against his palm, contemplating the best way to hurt the boggan.

The Sluagh's brows lower. "While I appreciate your chivalry, Gudgeon and I are perfectly capable of dealing with Freida. No matter what she did, she did not post these, nor did she attempt me to rough me up in the hall. As I see it, all she did was write a mash note and send flowers in an attempt to arouse Gudge's affections. Why she would do so--who knows? Perhaps she is only following her nature, just as I am. By all means, let me throw the words 'meddlesome Boggan' around as easily as someone did 'limp-wristed fag' a few moments ago. Both are, of course, states worth of persecution, and not the simple results of nature ( ... )

Bonnie forces her way right into the center of the circle. "Get angry at each other, not at me! When everybody finds out I did this, they'll think it's totally serious fact! I can't take the blame! I shouldn't take the blame!"

She grabs at Longshadow and Gudgeon. "Please! I'm not sorry at all!"

Vincent gives the slightest of shrugs. "I but point out a possibility. It is well known that she has no love nor liking for Miss Novalin. Her speech and mannerisms are at odd with one another whenever I am in her presence, despite my best efforts to be charming towards her. And now..." He waves an elegant hand at Bonnie's collection of flyers.

"Nor did I ever claim her being a Boggan had anything to do with the matters at hand at all, friend Longshadow." He coughs delicately. "That contribution was not uttered by either my thoughts or my lips."

Longshadow snorts. "No, I did. You, on the other hand, merely theorized that Freida acted as she did because I was a Sluagh. In truth, whose assumption is nastier? I mean that with no ill will, Vincent. I only ask that you be more careful. After all, it was jumping to conclusions that led to this mess... wasn't it, Mam'zelle Bonnie? For which I believe I must forgive you, since Gudgeon has decided to do the same. I can only hope," he says, flashing a look at Xandros, "that others will be as forgiving."
