One of the larger rooms appears to be open within the basement. Several chairs are arranged in a circle, and the lights have been left off. Replacing them is the flickering of some few candles, just barely providing any sort of illumination with their flickering flames.

Xandros comments to himself "Defintely like the decor." He looks around, "Vincent? You down here?"

"But of course, friend Xandros," Vincent's hiss comes from within. Two smoldering spots of emerald green seem to float head-level in the darkest corner of the room. A slight shifting and the sluagh seems to melt out of the shadows. "It would not do to leave candles aflame unattended."

Xandros grins, removing his leather trenchcoat throwing it over the back of one of the chairs. "I've been having some odd reoccurring dreams since I came here. Thought it may have to do with the whole past lives mumbo-jumbo." The satyr looks around. "Are you expecting anyone else?"

Well, speak of the devil! Malinda wanders in, carefully making her way down the stairs as though she doesn't entirely trust them to hold her weight. When she sees Vincent she beams - the smile lighting up her whole face, raidiating from within. She takes a step towards him, hesitantly, as though she's not entirely sure how she should be acting.
Yes, she seems to have completely missed Xandros.

"I would hope that a handful more might make an appearance, although one-" Vincent stops abruptly as Malinda climbs down the stairwell. No visible sign of emotion appears on Vincent's face, his features as gravely calm as ever. As Malinda smiles, his one hand does lift out towards Malinda, looking to hold hers. "Beloved."

Malinda steps closer, clasping her hand in his and, with a moment's pause, leans up to give him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Hey. Oh! I've got something for you."
With her free hand she rummages through her shoulder-bag, finally pulling out a clear jewel case. Still smiling, she hands it over to Vincent.
"It's a mix cd - some Cure, some other stuff I thought you might like."

"Cause it's not like his roommate has every Cure album or anything." Xandros smirks.

Looking at Xandros, he raises an eyebrow. "I did not wish to put pressure upon our friendship, friend Xandros. If I have caused offense then I do deeply apologise, for such was not my intent."

"Not at all, just saying it's a bit redundant that's all. Though I suppose having your own copy is nice." He looks back and forth between the two of them. "And a mix CD is a sweet gesture."

Malinda's eyebrows raise slightly and she looks back-and-forth, from Xandros to Vincent.
"Am I missing something, here? The room tension just went up like, 200% and I'm not sure why."
Looking at Vincent she frowns slightly, bites her lower lip just a tad.
"I can go...if I'm being a disturbance...?"
Her voice raises slightly at the last word, questioning, unsure.

Xandros chuckles. "Not at all, just admiring how sachrinely sweet you to are. From from me to kill a romance."

Vincent's grasp on her hand becomes slightly firmer, but is far from crushing or domineering. The CD disappears into one of the large pockets in his frock coat. "If you are a disturbance of any kind, rest assured it will always be a welcomed one, beloved. Xandros and I were merely at play with one another, I assure you." He reaches out and takes her other hand. "Please. Stay?"

Malinda seems ready to say something, but when Vincent takes her other hand she smiles and gives his a gentle squeeze.
"Ok - color me paranoid, is all."
She gives a little laugh and shakes her head.
"So...how does one do a past life regression, anyhow?"

He watches her laugh and smile, almost mesmerized by it.

"For different individuals different methods are most effective. There are some standard practices that have been found to be of some general use." Vincent gestures at the candles within. "Focusing on the flame of single candle often induces a trance-like state. The steady ticking of a metronome has also been of use in garnering visions of previous incarnations."

Raising a finger to make a point, he continues. "While many attempt to focus on images and sounds, they often forget the importance of textures and smells. As a matter of fact, the remembrance of a single scent may unlock a virtual treasure trove of impressions. The important thing is to first write down your impressions, before discussing them with another."
