Week sometime in March, Freida's room

If I am to best proceed with this matter, best I wait until she is alone, the Sluagh thinks to himself. He's waited patiently in the shadows until he sees Spindle leave. A few long slow heartbeats, and Vincent moves towards her door, trying to hold to his courage as he does so ( Read more... )

"Oh, you know. A good date could make her putty in your hands."

Vincent thinks for a moment before nodding. "Ah. Yes. I understand."

Blink.

Blink.

"No, I do not believe I do after all." He shakes his head slowly. "Why would I wish her to be maleable? She is who she wishes to be. That is why I love her."

Freida stares. And stares. Finally she shakes her head, smiling slightly. "Vince, honey--I think I finally know what I can give you some advice on. "Goober..." Vincent falls silent in thought and then declares, "Ah. Peanut. Perhaps I do understand now." There's no real clue on his face as to what he understands, but he does stand up from his sitting position. "And I am certainly no stranger to our library."

"You have done me a great service, Goodwife Shanks. If there is anything I can do in turn to show my gratitude...?" He lets the question trail off as he spread his hands outwards.

Freida's mouth opens but nothing comes out for an instant. "Uh... just let me know how it goes, and if you need any more help. Malinda's a nice girl. I'd like to see her happy."

Vincent clicks his heels and bows towards the Boggan. "Then I shall take my leave, with my thanks to remain here with you."

He moves gracefully back towards the door and eases it open again, all in one motion. "The joy of the day to you, Goodwife Shanks."
