If I could, I would color my life in the colors of the prairie...

Oh it is the most beautiful day out here in Seward! I mean the weather is PERFECT. It's about 60 degrees, just a real light breeze and sunny, sunny, sunny. I've got all the windows thrown up, fans blowing and just a real good feeling in my home today. With some help from the dr and his magical pain medication, I'm not in pain at all and am actually feeling pretty good. My husband spoiled me last night, giving me a backrub and snuggles and so many kisses. My son has been the biggest lovebug ever and things just feel....calm, tranquil, warm and beautiful in the Holtry Haven. My guys are going fishing tonight and I'm actually going to have some serious downtime. That's always nice :)

We spent the morning doing chores. We took our comforter up to the laundromat and washed it, then walked over to the post office. I absolutely love walking downtown here. Everyone says hi and stops and asks you how you are, even if they don't know you. I love the brick roads, the chimes at the courthouse and the spiral staircase that leads up to the courthouse. We went and had lunch and went back and got our comforter, then came home and got some more laundry done, the bed made and are working on a restful afternoon. Nathan, in his overalls and boots, made friends with the ole farmers at the McDonald's and the laundromat, of course. Farmers love that kid's energy.

A couple of funnies from last night and then some pictures.

Me: "What ARE you doing?"
Nathan (wearing his sunglasses crooked on his face): "Well THAT'S not supposed to happen!!"

Me (about asking Mike to turn over for proper heat stealing, I mean sharing): "Could you roll over? I'm freezing and want to get warm...your back hair keeps my nose warm!"
