Sorry I missed it! It's been a hectic week v.v; brave_phantom June 12 2010, 03:27:22 UTC
Ash walked out with his younger, shorter companion, though he had three Pokeballs in hand. Ash was unsure if he could win the battle that they spoke about while waiting on the Nurse to heal both their Pokemon. Though Ash had more Pokemon, that wouldn't matter in a one-on-one match. Link had not only a rarer Pokemon, but it was larger and may very well have had more combat experience. These thoughts rolled around in Ash's head as he calculated his Murkrow's strengths and weaknesses. Lara the Sentret was caught just a few hours earlier, so she wasn't ready for battle, and Magikarp.... Well Magikarp was a Magikarp.

Ash attached the two rejected Pokemon to his belt, holding Murkrow's Pokeball in his hand alone.

"That facility was interesting. I've never seen something so amazing as that. It's incredible that was a machine and not a magic spell."

It's okay! I'm a bit slow at log tags too >> wieldswindwaker June 13 2010, 05:36:56 UTC
Link nodded, grateful to seize on some common ground. He'd been baffled to find that none of the magical items he'd acquired on his journey had accompanied him to this strange world, and the complexity of the technology he'd seen so far had him astounded.

Noticing that Ash had only chosen on of the Poké Balls at his disposal, Link looked up at him curiously. He hadn't much considered capturing any of the other creatures he'd encountered on the way to the city; they were interesting but as far as he could tell, there wasn't much point to it. If they could only use one at a time, why would he need more?

Link didn't know if there was more to battling with a trainer than with wild pokemon, and waited for Ash to make the first move-although his hand gripped the Poké Ball a little tighter and his grin grew a bit wider. "Ready?"

Link hasn't heard of Tag-battles yet huh? brave_phantom June 13 2010, 06:13:35 UTC
"Always. But we need to find a clear area so we don't drag anyone else into it accidentally."

With Link's agreement, the two travel to a clearing off the street and into a lawn between buildings. Here they could have the room for their Pokemon to move around easily. Ash moved to one side and let Mukrow from his Pokeball undramatically. Murkrow limbered up before hopping into the air, a few furious flaps of his wings got him mostly stable, hovering in front of Ash.

"Alright, I finally get to see the Pokemon you showed me in person."

He hasn't heard much of anything... wieldswindwaker June 13 2010, 07:14:18 UTC
Link followed behind, interested. The architecture of the buildings was impressive and a little bemusing; he was used to more simple wooden structures.

When Ash released an odd-looking black bird creature, Link nodded, returning his focus to the matter at hand. It seemed to have to struggle to take flight, but Link could tell its wings were powerful. Grinning in answer to the man's statement, he reached for his lone Pokéball and released the Lapras.

Despite its low level, the creature was enormous, easily large enough for someone to climb on top of. It let out a low, musical cry, looking at Link with large bleary eyes before turning to the other pokémon.
