[... 'why am I always stuck with the ones who won't listen to me?!' Kaito though to himself as he darted after his baby Wooper and Pichu. Raising Kei from an egg had been easy enough, and although the Umbreon had a penchant for causing trouble, he at least only ran off once. With Jo and Ko the Wooper and Pichu, it was like Kaito was trying to keep track of bouncing rubber balls every time they were out of their pokeballs. Ko wasn't nearly as energetic as his Wooper, of course, but even the grumpy Pichu couldn't remain grumpy for long around someone so... happy.]
Where are you two going--?!
[As the Wooper and Pichu bounced down the snow-flanked roads of Goldenrod toward the inn, Kaito found himself dodging people and leaping over curbs to catch them. He was positive they would come back if he lost them (his Pokemon always came back when he let them wander) but... well. They were still babies, and he didn't want them getting hurt.
Ko and Jo quickly darted through the doors of the Goldenrod Inn, sliding across the floors as Kaito entered after them]
Oi, you two--
[But just as Kaito had entered the inn, Jo the Wooper had launched herself at her trainer with a happy WOOP! The sudden action took Kaito by surprise and sent him stumbling backward until he toppled over onto his rear end, the Wooper bouncing up and down on his lap. Ko the Pichu was watching from afar, ears pressed flat on her head as she tsunderely debated on whether to approach too.
Kaito sighed. Jo bounced. And although he hadn't noticed it yet, the Wooper was bouncing awfully high in an attempt to reach a green tuft of mistletoe that was hanging directly over Kaito's head in the doorway]
