Roxas hurried along the sidewalk of Goldenrod City, determined to get to the inn as fast as he could. He had no idea that winter was this cold, having never really experienced winter at all. He couldn't say he liked it very much. There was something about the lack of daylight that bothered him.
He continued along the street, newly-gloved hands shoved into the pocket of the coat he had also recently purchased. He paused at a crosswalk to adjust the headband, preventing it from slipping into his eyes. A hat never seemed to fit over his hair. It felt weird, wearing so many layers. For a brief moment, he missed the Organization cloak he used to wear. It was both warm and protective, and kept out the elements. But donning that cloak again would mean going back, submitting himself. That wasn't going to happen.
He crossed the street, turning the familiar corner that would take him to the inn, where it was warm and safe. Still he couldn't help but pause, staring up into the dark sky and watching the flakes come down. He could feel himself getting lost in that sky, utterly mystified by the way the snow fell. So quiet, and peaceful, not like rain. It was beautiful really. In a silent sort of way. Maybe winter wasn't so bad.
