Log:

[There is a merry fire (Approved beforehand by Officer Jenny) crackling across the way from the PokeCenter. Those curious enough to brave the winter night will find a mountain of a man keeping warm near said fire. He appears to be making something using a campfire grill, skillet, and a small assortment of cookware.]

[And mugs. Lots of mugs. (All of them environmentally friendly)]

[Raven's rumbling voice is low in the night air and an incredibly delightful aroma may be noticed. It almost smells like...Hot Chocolate. The real kind, with Miltank milk and melted chocolate stirred in. Raven's selling it for P250 per mug, but, if you tell a good enough story to those around the fire, he may let you have a free cup.]

[Atka the Miltank and Itzy the Caterpie are warm and covered with the blanket and sleeping bag new trainers are given. Raven does not need such things and, in fact, is shirtless as his words to them become more clear.]

...And now I will tell you why the raven is so black, so dull and black in color. It is all because of its own obstinacy. Now listen.

It happened in the days when all the birds were getting their colors and the pattern in their coats. And the raven and the goose happened to meet, and they agreed to paint each other.

The raven began, and painted the other black, with a nice white pattern showing between.

The goose thought that very fine indeed, and began to do the same by the raven, painting it a coat exactly like its own.

But then the raven fell into a rage, and declared the pattern was frightfully ugly, and the goose, offended at all the fuss, simply splashed it black all over.

And now you know why the raven is black.

[OOC: Please consider this to be a mingling post, so feel free to interact with other respondents! If you've bought Hot Chocolate from Raven, please put the price (P250) in the subject line once for each cup. The sale doesn't need to be played out, so just have fun and chat with anyone else who's at the fire, Raven included. Share stories. Listen. Laugh. Trying to steal from Raven or cause trouble will be met by the wrath of the displeased narwhal.]
