Who: Heather Mason and ANYONE IN GOLDENROD CITY. Anyone.
Where: Goldenrod City
When: In the thick of the Missingo glitching.
Summary: "And this glitch? Basically, the end of the world."
So, weird shit happens in Johto. That much has come to be expected. But everything else at least had an explanation Heather could buy. The Unown and their crystal

And when he found one of those skeletal things chasing after Heather, well, there was only one thing for him to do.
Zombiedactyl was met with a punch that had enough force behind it to snap its head to one side with a loud CRNCH. Even on its pixellated skull, there were fractures spread out like spiderwebs from where he'd struck.

She skidded to a halt (hard on a smooth surface) and turned around, shoulders heaving slightly.
"HEY! I was taking care of that!"
... Nice to see you too Heather.

Smirk.
"Maybe I'll leave you a little something once I'm done breaking this thing."
He cracked his knuckles with a sound like splitting wood.

TERRITORIAL DISPUTE, GO.
Meanwhile, the creature was picking itself up again. There was just... a hole in its face now. Deleted coding.

Because Liquid was going to start punching that thing back to whatever eldritch plane it came from with his code-deleting fists.

Heather was helpless to do much of anything as she watched Liquid and his manly fists of manliness take on the beast she'd initially planned to take down.
.... I.... just-- ... okay, screw this.
Heather let out an angry huff, then threw up her hands and started to turn off.
>8( HUFF.
The beast fought the good fight, for the record-- Liquid might've been a supersoldier, but he was sort of fighting a big strong piece of coding. With his fists.

Feel free to point and say 'I told you so', Heather.

It looked like she'd run off-- difficult or no, it had looked like Liquid had a pretty good handle on things.

At least until he'd gotten nailed in the side with a bony, spiky tail. Then kind of less so.
So he'd made a few very hasty bandages out of torn clothing and kept moving; Heather might notice the very nice trail of blood he'd been leaving behind from a few minor injuries he hadn't had enough make-shift bandage to cover.

Blood was very noticeable on this ground, so... yeah. Heather noticed, all right.
When she did catch up with him?
"You're a fucking idiot."
Reply
"Tch. It's a scratch."

Heather picked her way towards him across some broken coding.

That much, at least, was true. He'd had far worse injuries than some gashes in his side.
And guess what was coming up behind him, climbing its way down the front of a building? If you guessed a giant fucking Zombiedactyl, you're right. The background music covered most of the noises it made bracing itself against the pixels, so enjoy the view of a giant zombie skull opening its jaws behind Liquid.

At least this place wasn't as... infectious-looking... as Silent Hill was.
She'd opened her mouth to scold him more, but... yeah. Um. Giant fucking Zombiedactyl. Her eyes widened and she backed up, pointing.
"LIQUID!"

God, he hated this world sometimes.
He managed to hit the deck just a moment before the skeletal Pokemon's jaws closed on the space he'd occupied.

Fighting while banged up like that at all was a bad idea. A VERY bad idea. Heather knew that from experience-- and sorry Liquid, lightning fists or no, she's way more experienced at fighting monsters than you are. That's just how it goes.
Grabbing onto one of his wrists with both hands, she tried to yank him up off the ground and take off running.
