Log:
It was rather an easy travel back to New Bark Town. It really helped that he remembered what path he took to get to Cherrygrove. He only had to follow it back. It was past that one berry tree, over the ledges, under that dead log, and through the trees Teddie once got stuck in, and in no time, there was New Bark Town. It even still had that fresh smell of trees he remembered before leaving. He wasn't here long, but it was a bit nostalgic. Guess it was like a bit like Inaba in a way, seeing how small and calm it was.
Souji took a deep breath and rolled his shoulders. To be honest, he was a little exhausted. He couldn't lie about that. When he first heard word from his little cousin, he turned around to go pick her up. It didn't take much to convince getting his friends, Teddie and Yosuke, to come follow along. Nanako was adored by all of his friends and they weren't going to let a little girl fend for herself. At least Souji wasn't going to, even if he was still feeling pretty tired from that berry testing a few days ago. He could feel his tongue at least now and his throat was doing better. He would still love some rest, but not now. He had to pick up Nanako and then head towards Violet City. He wasn't going to rest when everyone else was waiting. Their needs over his own, of course.
So he waited by the outskirts of New Bark Town with Teddie and Yosuke, leaning against the old wooden sign of the town. He contacted Nanako earlier that morning, giving her an estimate on when and where they'll arrive. Hopefully that didn't mean they wouldn't have to wait long. He couldn't wait to see his "little sis" again. It may have only been half a day back at home and a week here, but he missed her terribly. She was just like the younger sibling he didn't have when he came home. Her "Welcome home, Big Bro!" always managed to grab a smile out of him. Seeing her in person once again was to surly make him feel like the happiest person alive then.
Shifting his duffle bag on his shoulder and bringing his Inaba jacket closer to him, he waited.
