Summary: The Layton travel group has finally arrived in Violet City after much trekking around. For the first time, they are going to meet with the Luke from the future in this world. Questions are answered, introductions are made, and battle of wits are all over! *POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR UNWOUND FUTURE*

It had been quite a long week and a half for the Layton travel group. Really, it had. Between falling off ledges, setting up camp, Caterpies capturing themselves, and dealing with kidnappings, Hershel had definitely seen better days. He would rather much prefer sitting inside his office, studying and placing together bones of an ancient fish while sipping some nice hot Belle Classic tea. Trekking through these woods for days and days did not quite "tickle his fancy", if you can say that. Well, at least on the bright side, he and his companions had finally arrived in Violet City.
They were actually suppose to arrive about days ago, but due to certain situations such as weather, they have traveled at a much slower pace. The large thunder and lightning storm a few days ago pushed back their travels longer than he expected. Being forced to stay under that tarp shelter for the whole time, it took away a whole day's worth of travel. Not to mention that everything became so muddy and wet along the way that it was hard to walk through it (and he just washed his outfit the day before; thank Heavens that he bought spare outfits at the stores to replace his old battered one).
It was rather cloudy today, but it didn't seem like it was going to rain anytime soon, so the travel group had all come onto a decision that they should meet up with their new companion by the Pokemon Center; Luke Triton from ten years into the future.
Layton shifted his weight from one foot to another as he stood beside the bench. His Vulpix cried beside him and he nodded. Yes, he was a bit nervous, to be honest. Who wouldn't be in a situation like this, meeting your assistant that claimed to be from ten years into the future? Really, it was more of a feeling of doubt and uncertainty that clouded over it all. After all, time traveling was physically impossible in the real world, right? Well, thank you Johto for completely destroying that and proving that yes, time traveling and being pulled into different worlds were not a work of fiction at all. But it was still rather strange that two Lukes were here at the same time. It was rather a confusing puzzle to wrap his head around.
He straightened his hat and waited silently. It should be soon when the group will all meet with this "Future" Luke, and the Professor had a lot of questions for him. Boy, oh boy, a lot of questions.
