[ Kairi comes wandering over, Dratini slithering behind her and a freshly caught Ledyba in the pokéball on her hip. Getting up early paid off. ]

Hey Sora! [ She had missed his network post explaining all this, so the sign and rules are a little bewildering. ] Wow, did you set up all this?

[There's a soft screech from the Zubat on his head as it starts awake at the voice, and Sora grins up at Kairi, looking a little tired, but otherwise quite happy and proud.]

Yep! I guess you missed my post about it, huh.

Yeah, looks like it. [ Ouch, called out right away. She's a little embarrassed, and laughs quietly. ]

This is a great idea.

I just hope it all goes okay.

[He does seem a little worried about that. After all, this isn't his normal kind of thing.]

Ash emerges from tall grass, his apron covered in dirt and grass stains. He is wet from rain, sweat, and climbing through mud, but he emerges from Route 29 with a sense of victory nonetheless. A very beleaguered Murkrow walks beside him, and he clutches a Pokeball in hand, smiling as he looks at if from time to time

Sora glanced up as the stranger approached and nodded (carefully enough that his Zubat didn't fall!) with a grin. The Growlithe in his lap tilted its head curiously when the person spoke.

"I guess I am! What's up?"

"What time do they start? I'd like a chance to rest and recuperate before we begin any training. My Pokemon and I just made it to town and we are exhausted."

Murkrow, eyes closed in Ash's arms, nodded quietly.

"I was gonna stay here pretty much all day, since not everyone's here yet. You should go rest first, definitely! That's more important."

Sora seems pretty insistent about this; forcing a tired pokémon to fight just doesn't seem right, after all.

Sora was pretty excited to see Perry, even if he couldn't speak. Flame, on the other hand, was pretty excited to see another fire type pokémon.

Growlithe is busy thoroughly investigating the two pokémon, barking a hello at them as Sora moved to take Perry's hand.

"D'you have a notebook or... something, to talk to people? Or are you just gonna use your PokéGear?"

It didn't take too long for Yayoi to come trotting up, holding Scallion in her arms. She grinned when she spotted the person who'd set this all up and waved enthusiastically. "Sora! Hi!!"

Sora brightened at the sight of Yayoi, waving back as she approached.

"Hey! Did you try doing a battle yet?"

"Kind of! I went off with Maki- ah, she's one of the people I'm traveling with- and we fought a lot of wild Pokemon!" Yayoi replied, putting her Farfetch'd down (who eyed Flame warily, still very much remembering their first meeting). "We haven't had a trainer battle yet, though."

Flame doesn't seem terribly interested in actually bothering the Farfetch'd this time around, but does go over to say hello.

"But you got some practice! That's great!"
