Who:
yattagarasu and ANYONE (especially travel buddies Kaito, Johan, Konata, Crow, and Tsukasa)
Where: A few days along Route 32
When: September 3, early evening
Summary: Recovering stamina is hard, but Eevee hatching makes everything better. As usual, either action or prose is fine.
Rating: PG-13 for... anything, though I doubt it'll go beyond G.
Log:
If anyone hadn't known that Kay Faraday was absolutely thrilled to be leaving Violet for good, she made it more than apparent by appearing to be even more ebullient than usual. She'd kept up with the others just fine (and even took the lead on occasion, though that was mostly because Flapper had bounced off to investigate something).
Granted, as much as she wished it to be otherwise, Kay's stamina was taking its sweet time in restoring itself completely and she hadn't been much of a night conversationalist lately, if only because she fell asleep the moment she was anywhere close to the ground. Byrne had taken to waking her up in the morning in the absence of Windy, who was currently in storage to make room for the egg Kay was taking care of.
The one currently in her lap while she was taking a break under a tree, to be precise.
Or, to be more precise, the one that had been in her lap while Kay had been lost in thoughts better left unpursued, but when one was distracted, one tended not to notice things like eggs forming cracks and shaking insistently.
One did tend to notice when one suddenly received a squeaky ball of brown and cream fluff to the face, thus causing one to yelp as though one was greatly surprised (which one was) and topple over like a (considerably smaller) felled tree.
"One thing's for sure," Kay mumbled, flat on her back and staring at the Eevee lying on her chest and regarding her with innocent and adoring curiosity, "You sure know how to make an entrance."
