Since it seemed like the best way to go, Komali had ventured out of New Bark Town and onto Route 29 himself, though he travelled by foot, carrying his Natu in his arms. It wasn't long before he heard a ruckus coming from some way behind him and he paused to listen, wondering what it was. Was someone in trouble? Should he go and take a look? Someone was yelling and he could hear the sounds of another creature too. Probably some kind of Pokemon. Din the Natu seemed curious about the sound herself, staring intently at the pathway behind them as she tried her best to spot anything coming their way ( ... )

Link had seen the other boy before he had heard him. Once again, he found himself quite confused. This 'Komali' seemed to know him, though Link had no memory of him at all, and he wasn't one to forget faces. He asked Epona to stop and he hopped down off her back.

"Uh, hi." Well, this was embarrassing. Link would have thought that he had mistaken for someone else, though even he had to admit it would be pretty odd if someone else who looked like him decided to dress like him as well. "Have we met?"

Komali blinked at that. Strange... he definitely looked like Link. Who else would look just like him in body and in the way he dressed? Yet he didn't seem to have any recollection of who he was. It made his heart sink, to be honest. Din on the other hand was more interested in the Ponyta standing beside them, staring intently into her eyes. It was rather unnerving...

"Of course we have! Don't you remember? You helped restore my confidence on Dragon Roost Island so I could go and see the great Valoo and get my wings. You've been travelling around the Great Sea on that enchanted boat of yours... You remember, right? I even gave you my most treasured possession."

Link had no idea what this guy was talking about. He had been all around Hyrule by now, with only a few areas he had yet to visit and explore, so Link was damned sure that there was no Great Sea, or Dragon Roost Island.

"I'm from Hyrule. I never heard of the places you're talking about." He hated that he seemed to be dashing Komali's hopes, but what else could he do in a situation like this? "I heard that people are taken from different worlds here. Maybe I just look like someone else you know where you're from." Right. Someone who looks just like him, dresses like him, and even shares the same name. "Sorry."
