[ you've probably seen her.

a girl in a floppy hat and shades, with a map in one hand and a tune under her breath, she walks around in goldenrod without any direction. sightseeing? maybe. looking for someone? could be. lost? most likely. from the radio tower to the game center to the department store to the train station.

help her? bother her? make her see the light about going off on her own? ]

[A certain someone has just emerged from the Game Corner, Coin Case jingling. He smiles when he sees Sheryl.]

I was wondering when I'd run into you here.

[northerncrosses]

[ she blinks twice upon seeing athrun, slowly removing her shades; though while she was expecting him to be here -- he did say he was heading to goldenrod as well -- the game center was the last place she thought of meeting him. but sheryl smiles her usual smile all the same, slowly folding up the map in her hands. ]

You know me. I like to make people anticipate and wait for my coming.

I can't argue that one. What are you up to right now?

Looking around mostly. Finding something to distract myself as well as a good location for a concert. [ and she eyes that coin case. ] And you?

Me? I just spent half an hour playing Voltorb Flip. I'm trying to earn enough coins to redeem for a TM.

Anyway, if you need something to distract yourself, would you mind taking a walk with me? I should take a break from everything I've been doing here, and I'd appreciate having someone to talk to.

As long as your hoard of girls doesn't try to bite my head off, then I don't mind.

[ she winks at him teasingly before falling into a step beside him. ] A break from everything, huh? What have you been doing anyway?

[Athrun wills himself to not be affected by that.

Um. Just. All sorts of things. Training my Pokémon, training myself, shopping...

Shopping? [ she grins as she notices the blush on his cheeks. ] I didn't think you'd be the type.

You think I'd go out into the wild without supplies?

I was thinking of a different kind of shopping actually.

No, I'm not much of a person for clothes shopping. And besides, too many clothes and I'd need another Flying-type just to haul them.

[northerncrosses]

Ah, good point, good point. [ there's a giggle and a wave of her hand. ] Not to mention it's difficult to imagine you going to a mall and actually shopping for clothes.

No kidding. There are plenty more places where I'm more at home than in most clothing stores.

[Hibiki is in Goldenrod, too! Sure, she's only spoken to Sheryl once, but that's not going to stop her. Well, to be more accurate, it's not going to stop her Treecko, Kosuke, from running up to her. Kosuke is attracted to things of beauty, after all, and will be standing in Sheryl's path with sparkly eyes.

His trainer? Hibiki's a little red in the face and still carrying an egg around. She also has a letter in her other hand.]

[ truth be told, she's not entirely sure how to react to this. while she's used to people suddenly staring and then blocking her path all of a sudden (usually, it's easly dispersed by a smile, a wave and the security), it's a bit -- weirder when it's an animal. or in this case, a pokémon.

sheryl steps back a little then looks up, recognizing hibiki. yup, one of her "candidates". ]

Hibiki, right? Is this one yours? [ obviously referring to the treecko. ]
