when hope was high and life worth living )
It feels rather eerie to be in this room. Is it connected to a house? Is it a classroom in a school? Was it the parlor back in the Meta-World? She couldn't tell for sure; it was empty. The floor is neatly patterned as if it was a chessboard, but the walls...
The walls are decorated with lips and the occasional eye. Mammon stares at the wall, curious to see if it would stare back. It didn't and she feels slightly relieved.
But as soon as she turned around, a marble sculpture was placed quite a distance away from her, but she could tell that it is a statue. Of who... she didn't exactly know. Then she heard the something crack, a line forming in its body, but the noise resonated loud and clear throughout the room despite its distance. The cracking noise slowly multiplies and becomes louder and louder until--]
Worthless furniture.
[The marble sculpture, having many little cracks before, was suddenly demolished and pieces of it remained on the floor. The lips on the walls slowly began to part and started to curl into a sneer. Some looked like frowns and the others like a pitiful smile, speaking to the girl trapped within the room with no windows or door.
Then there was a smirk on the wall--]
Die, you delusion.
[And another sculpture-- when it was there doesn't matter to Mammon right now-- shatters to pieces. But was that even... a sculpture? Mammon could have sworn she had heard a tiny scream...]

You're certain-kill furniture that can fly around faster than the eye can see and instantly pierce the hearts of a witch's enemies, right?
And I am giving you an order as your master!!
Carry it out right away! Kill!! Kill them aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall!!
[Then two more statues broke apart with a scream silently accompanying them in the distance. Mammon's expressions twists, being reminded when she was hurt--]

Oi! Mammon, what the heck--?
Reply
No... You're not... capable-- not ready for this kind of thing--!
Ahhahhahhahhahhahhahhahha, don't speak, you furniture. You delusion!! I get it already, you don't all have to tell me. ...You guys can't do anything. You are nothing more than my delusions, illusions, daydreams...! I haven't had a single friend from the very beginning. You are just a phantom, a pretend friend I created in my heart, in my isolation, right? I've known from the very beginning!!!

MAMMON!! Snap out of it!!

[By Kaito's call, Mammon snaps out of it. However, the voices get louder, but this time... it's her own.]
Yeah, that's right! We're an illusion inside your head, Lady Ange, but so what? Yes, that's truue! We're just imaginary friends created to soothe lonely, lonely Lady Ange's heart because she doesn't have a single friend, but so what? If you want to look at reality, just look at it. You can stop looking at us and return to being surrounded and bathed with jeering over there!! C'mon, c'mon, go back, welcome home to reality!! Just call on us only when it's convenient for you and pretend you have friends, then spur us on even though you don't have the guts to dirty your own hands, then deny and erase us once you realize that it's hopeless! Yes, please enjoy it, I'll leave with a shriek of anguish just like you want, Lady Ange!! Just copy the jeering that you're being showered with right now, and do the same to us to get it off your chest. That's also furniture's duty!! Getting slammed against the floor when someone's pissed off is also a chair's important duty!! If that alone can absorb their master's bad mood even for an instant, there can be no greater honor for furniture. Kill me, deny me, your first and final friend...!!!

-- why the heck are you calling yourself furniture?

[The walls keep talking, relentless with their words. They cackle and laugh at their target and Mammon could feel something breaking.
If you wanted to talk about literal breaking, her face seems to have a little crack in it.]

Oi--! You're not letting what these creepy faces are saying actually get to you, are you?

[Even the wrist Kaito held seems to be having a crack, not from his grip but rather her existence being cut through.]

Deny you-- from what?
Reply
Existence.
[It just seeped through.]

Oi, Mammon! Why would you let something as dumb as words deny your existence? C'mon, snap out of it! You're here, no one can tell you otherwise!
