happy mamma's day!
hmm. i feel there's so much to say. and yet i can't think of what to put in here.
bye bye birdie was great fun. i thuroughly enjoyed it. took ryan with me. in case anyone was wondering, we're not together and i don't think anything will it happen. it'd be too weird. i'm clarifying this bc some ppl kept asking me. like i said, it'd be too weird.
i had fun at coco's with those kids tho. aww. but i don't even wanna go there again. i say that everytime i go. "ok this sucks. i'm never coming back." aaaand you see what happens.
i had to wake up early yesterday for manda's gold award ceremony. the ceremony itself was kinda boring, but i was with manda and jennie so it wasnt all bad. and then there was food. mm. food. berries. MMM.
then.... the Eric Whitacre festival. weee! that choir thing that was postponed until yesterday. ok so ucr chambers is not great (compared to king) but we're good. yadda yadda director sucks yadda. anyways. wepracticed for a couple hours nonstop before the show and might i say we did pretty darn good (i mean considering the level we were at on thursday.) we went on first. then rcc... and then mr. whitacre was introduced. BY GOLLY GOODNESS.... his hair... well... you'll have to wait till i post pictures. and well he's just... AMAZING. i mean he was already my favorite composer, but after the concert... GEEZ. he's pure talent/genius/goodness. haha. so then the festival singers went on and he conducted a bunch of unpublished pieces (recording was prohibited)... oh man. so there's this new musical he's still composing, Paradise Lost. it's a musical theatre opera. but it's not like piano and orchestra in the background... it's techno. so cool. and just to watch him conduct to the techno... he was bouncing and dancing. it was great. i was smiling from ear to ear the entire time. i was in pure awe. we rushed out the second he was done to talk to him and gets pictures etc. so i got some pictures, he signed my music. aaaaand then he said, "you'd better post these pictures on my myspace." HAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHA.
ok so yesterday was fun. the girls and i ransacked krispy kreme afterwards and then i came home to some cool ppl and fell asleep on the futon.
now it's momma's day so we have to hang with whether we want to or not. =P gonna visit gramma eunice aaand then gonna go see Just my Luck. waahoo!
