[Kaito you jerk. :c Wait for it... wait for it... there we go. She goes in for a reverse roundhouse, and I mean she really goes in for it. The girl's seriously throwing her hips into it, and BAM. First the bag finally ruptures, rewarding Chie's valiant blows with a spectacular spray of dirt, then the branch snaps. The bag hits the ground and coughs up another burst of soil, followed shortly by a tree branch that misses Chie by a few centimeters. And, of course, for good measure, a brief rain of loose twigs and leaves shaken loose by that little adventure.

[And now he's laughing. Not holding back, either. But to counter this, he's hopping over the fence and approaching her with every intention of helping her]

[It seems like Chie has gained a superpower since coming to Mayfield, and that superpower is embarrassing herself in public. While going back to shutting herself away in her room and quietly dying of humiliation is a very appealing option... if she stops and thinks about it, she must look really funny right now, all covered in dirt and twigs.

[Oh good, Kaito firmly believes people who can laugh at themselves make the best of friends! His snickers calm down significantly as he reaches out to pick a twig out of hair]

Geez, no kidding. You're supposed to decorate the ground, not yourself.

[And she's just gonna look down at her dirt-coated leg and the mess all over the yard, then scratch the back of her head.]

...W-well, I guess. It's kinda hard not to be embarrassed when you screw up that bad.

It could have been worse. You could have gotten dirt all over someone else.

Huh... good point. It's lucky you didn't drop by sooner, or I'd really have something to be embarrassed about.

[lifts a hand to block it]

[You and your ninja skills, Kaito. Scooping up another dirt clod and lobbing it at him]

Sure, when you're not the one getting covered in dirt.

[He can't block huge clods of dirt, so that one manages to catch the front of his shirt. He stares down at it for a moment, before glancing back up at Chie with a pretty devious grin playing on his features]

[... he reaches down and scoops up some dirt to throw at her]

[She raises an arm to shield herself... which just means that she gets a dirty arm to match her dirty leg. She lowers her arm long enough to flash Kaito a grin, then snatches up some ammo of her own for a counterattack and ducks behind the tree.
