Second Opinion

Well, the new doctor wanted to go "non-weight-bearing" for another six weeks, to see what it would do and justify the expense of renting a bone growth stimulator - so I told him a second time that I'd already done non-weight-bearing for two-and-a-half months and hadn't seen improvement. So he went ahead and prescribed the bone growth stimulator. The person who was supposed to get me set up with this contraption didn't call me today, so I'm not sure what happens from here. I don't know if she works weekends - it could be Monday before this get straightened out.

I got Brent to pull my crutches down out of the attic - Propst was out of stock on the knee walkers, so I'm on a waiting list - and I pulled out the old boot. New Doc said that immobilization wasn't as important as keeping the weight off, but it makes sense to me to wear the boot at least as a reminder to myself not to walk on it.

I'm really tired of this.
