Executive: D
House: D
Senate: D

So much for checks and balances.

"But Amy," you might say, "You weren't upset about checks and balances when there was a combination of Republican Executive and Republican Congress."

Yeah. News flash: Conservatives tend to be, you know, conservative rather than extremist. You don't expect to see them headed in a surprising direction rapidly and without warning. *grumble*

I was conflicted about this election anyway - both presidential candidates were too liberal for me.

What sucks even more is that a majority of my friends list is probably going to jump me for expressing an opinion that differs from theirs. Or at least that's what happened several years ago, the last time I posted anything vaguely political.

For people who harp on tolerance and diversity so much, American liberals sure don't seem to tolerate other people's beliefs very well if they're not the specific divergent beliefs they've been taught they're supposed to tolerate.

I wonder if socialized medicine will cover the antidepressants I'm going to need if this gets as bad as I think it will?

Oh, and the internet confirms that I have a habit of listening to CDs until I know every word on them. Go me.
