My Quasi-Philosophical Musings of This Past Month

People should not view death as an oppurtunity to hop on the bandwagon.

With Zack's passing came a disgusting wave of what I like to call "me too"s. Kids who didn't know him, had barely talked to him, but act like they were best friends. They garner pity from others and attract attention to themselves.

I guess it's not a huge deal. But I feel that the death of an 18 year old boy is not the appropriate time to be like "Hey guys, guess how much I'm gonna miss him? THIS much!" I find it disrespectful.

I didn't know him very well. I'd known him since elementary school, but we were never really great friends. He was the kind of kid that I would stop and talk to when I saw him in the halls every now and then. A big part of my life isn't going to be missing. I'm going to be most affected by how it affects those around me. And all I can do is be there for them if they need me.

Standardized testing ruins lives and its a horrific way for our government to systematically weed out the infidels. It sounds extreme but that's basically what they're doing. Schools with better scores get more money. What schools get better scores? Schools that come from upper class white towns with upper class white students who have upper class white parents. That is why I have come to be an advocate for Affirmative Action recently. That's just a side note. The real point of this blurb is to tell everyone how much the SATs and APUSH exam raped me.

Everyone should read Slaughterhouse-Five, by Kurt Vonnegut. I'd already read it, but I re read it. And I'm pretty sure it changed my life.

Kissing a girl is the most surreal thing in the entire world. No matter who it is, where it happens, when, why, how, whether its short or long, no matter what, you always wake up the next day and think "Did that actually happen?" And you try and recall the circumstances, and the more you think about it, the less you can remember. And then it's gone. And all you can remember is that, "I think I kissed a girl last night".

Eating Chinese food is the worst decision anyone can make. You take one bite, and all you can think of is how much you regret taking that one bite. But you have to keep eating more.
