I realized the other day that while I had told you all about the doll Murasaki that I wanted to buy, I never ended up showing you the end product.
So here is is, the one and only Murasaki!
Shoot, speaking of which, I forgot to take a pic of him brushing his hair for the scavenger hunt. *scribbles note to self and staples to forehead*
I have more of him I intend to post for everyone, but at least you know how it turned out. And I just purchased another one who is HUGE compared to 'Saki. I'm afraid I'm going to have to figure out how to make shoes because his feet are enormous and I'm not paying EMS from Korea every time I want to change his outfit. *kicks Kiyam's huge feet*
Tonight, if I remember, I'll post a link to the pictures of the doll, his eyes and hair. Though I'm considering picking up another set of eyes. I love Kitty's Kiyam's eyes, but not the pictures of them on the website I'm buying them from. (The ones I got are the same ones, just BIGGER) So we'll see.
I also purchased some moleskin in a beige and found some more in my material in chocolate. I'm going to use them to make him suede pants that tie in the front. I'm thinking if I can get a good pair of pants for a boy his size, I may have to sell them. Clothing is hard to find for a doll that is 70cm tall. I also found this deep purple cotton with tiny gold stripes, I'm thinking they are the foundation (pants) for Kiyam's Gypsy wardrobe. And I found a nice crinkly light purple shiny fabric for Shaial's britches too! Wow so much can be found in the closet of fabric when one goes through it all. Now I just have to settle on a Kiyamesque top. I can't decided what the psychopath would wear besides a matching vest. But I'm thinking I'd like a shirt too... hmmm... the decisions.
