Saturday was a Neighborhood Cleanup day for the Delano district. Which basically means you can throw out any sort of crap on the corner and the trash people pick it up and toss in the back of their very big truck.
So out went the kitty pee couch and the broken dresser I'd been stacking clothing ON instead of in since half the drawers were broken. Out went the dead microwave and office chair. If it had been a week later we could have thrown out K-baby's old bed and mattress. Crunch, crunch, crunch.
Anyway got up early to do that. 6:30. x_x I hate the smell of 6:30 a.m. Then I mopped my kitchen, fed my son, started cleaning on the TV room where the kitty pee couch had been. Apparently it ate everything we couldn't find for the last year. Decided it was time to start working on the construction zone I live in whether I have a house guy or not. I'll either break stuff or call him on the phone to get advice. I don't mind living in a construction zone when construction is occuring, but none has for over two years. So we moved the computer desk out into the hall with the intent to get it into the garage until we can move it to Niera's room. Swept the floor in TV room. Did more feeding and loving on my son. Did laundry. Fed people. Napped briefly. Talked to the construction guy who looked at the damaged done by the hail storm from hell. I think the house may get painted in the deal. WOOT!
Sunday G-man and I slept in till 8:30 then got up and started working gain. Mopped the TV room and then picked up the other half of the room, swept and mopped it. Helped get the broken 52" tv out to the garage. Weedeated the iris/pampas grass clump (not them, but the johnson grass that had grown up around them) Then moved it nice and even. Then weedeated behind the garage and sprayed with herbicide. Dealt with son some more while Orryn went to take a much needed nap. Did more laundry. Picked up G-man's toys off the floor and designated two more folding chairs as trash. Took my recycling out to the truck and took to boxes of books out onto the porch to be taken inside. Walked three big rocks out of driveway (and sideyard) around to back of garage. Have about 9 more till I can pull out another row. I'm excited. Went upstairs and moved new/used dresser with ALL its drawers into its place and put G-man's bed in old dresser place. Picked up a THOUSAND pieces of clothing and decided if trash, storage for size, storage for weather or put in dresser. Did NOT get done, but finally Orryn admitted we weren't going to get it all done and we'd gotten the part we NEEDED taken care of dealt with. Filled dresser. Filled storage boxes. Made supper. Took care of son until he passed out. Passed out myself.
These things did not necessarily happen in this order. But they did all occur.
No. Really. However, if you look at my house, it looks trashier than it did. >.> How's that work?
Anyway, tonight we game. Tuesday I will drain upstairs potty tank and swimming with my sister. Wednesday we go shopping for potty parts for the upstairs potty and drywall as well as pick up paint chips and blind options for TV room and look at price of cheap sander and pick up sand paper and dresser hardware. Thursday I'm going to see if I can talk her into coming over to my destroyed garage (she helped destroy it btw) and see if she'll help me sand K-baby's new/used dresser. If not we'll work on scrapbook stuff in the cool of her house. Next weekend my dad's supposed to come up and help me cut my legs off with his chain saw. I've got some trees that I should have cut down 2 years at the end of my garage. One I may need a professional to come cut since he's all caught up in the electrical lines. But we're going to get the others and dad's bringing some stump killer with him.
Now, I just have to work in some time to actually write... >.> I do want to write. It's just hard to do with Gabriel constantly adhered to me. And he doesn't play by himself long enough yet. Oh and cross stitch. I want to finish
Elegance of the Orient now that I have a new kit with instructions and thread. I have all but the backstitching on her head and face done. >.> I started her when Niera was THREE!! It's time to finish this girl up!
Hey Luta! Send me everything you've got on Nay's fic. I'm sure I'll work a read in somewhere. Other people read to their children when they go to bed. I read to mine while he's awake and then play quietly on the computer while trying to put him to sleep. So I'll read your story then instead of playing a silly computer game.
