[+] V for Vendetta

One more batch of icons before I enter the madness of fall semester at college. This time it's V for Vendetta, a visually stunning film with a message that is thought provoking to say the least. Once again I'm asking for you all to give me some hints on what images you think I should preview when I post these to communities, because I usually pick ( Read more... )

You're right, this is your best set yet. They're incredible. Each one is unique and beautiful, so much so that I can't pick a favorite. Every one of them depicts something important, an emotion or important moment. They give off real feeling (#'s 19, 20, and 23 especially)...way to go on this set Maggie!

Oh I'm so glad you think so! I was so struck by these images, it was like the icons made themselves (of course they didn't, that took me hours out of my life haha!). Thanks for commenting, dear ♥.

These are SWEET. I like the steely blue/green colors that unify them. Was that intentional? #26 is my favorite. It's just stunning. The only one that bothers me is #17. It's nice on its own, but it doesn't seem to fit with the style of the rest of these. What was your thinking behind it? Also, I agree wholeheartedly with previous comments--every single one of these icons stands powerfully on its own. And the icons feel like the film as well, which is great (your usual bright color palette wouldn't have worked as well, so I like how these are bright but... NOT bright, if you know what I mean).

Anyway, enough babble. You've done a lovely job! :D

I tried to make them seem unified, I feel like that what I was really missing in previous sets, a sense of unity and continuity. All the images have a bit of red in them as well :).

Not sure about #17... I had to do something very different because the image for some reason wasn't cooperating with my usual process, which is probably why it doesn't look like the others. Now that I look at it I do see the difference, but I'm not sure where it came from, ha.

The film was really so inspiring because it has such a strong color scheme itself. And all the images seemed so iconic already, it was amazing. Anyway, thanks so much for commenting, and for giving me a little Bean in my day *drools on icon*. *wipes it off*. Ahem.

My faves are 12, 14 and 23 but I adore this set, your cropping is perfect and the colours are gorgeous. Here's another film I need to see! :D *hugs* and congratulations on such a great set. xxx

Thank you dear! I was so happy to finally have some images that didn't turn to shite as soon as I tried to icon them :P. Those comments are even more flattering coming from someone who makes such lovely icons herself! I hope you are feeling better about your own sets, it really is great to have one that 'clicks' :)!
