He had hoped that the date would be wonderful and that by the end of the date Chinen would have fallen in love with him too.
When I was reading this, there was this warm fuzzy feeling. But everyone knows that one date wouldn't be able to cure anything.

Everywhere Ryutaro would take him, Chinen would tell him a story of how his ex-boyfriend Yamada would take him to the same place.
I would have killed Chinen if he wasn't half of Chiitaro D<

When Chinen asked him if he wanted to stay a little while and have coffee, Ryutaro politely declined.

It was pretty obvious that Chinen wasn’t over his ex-boyfriend and Ryutaro didn’t have the strength to compete with a memory.
Ah, the hardest thing to do is to compete with something that isn't even alive, like a memory because memory does not do anything to compete with you yet they win.

He wondered if he did, or said something wrong during the date.
Yes you did.

When Ryutaro had first asked him out on a date, Chinen wanted to really say no, but ended up saying yes.
WTH?!? YOU CONSIDERED DECLINING RYUTARO MDLHFWOBF???

But as their date progressed, Chinen felt himself having a great time. Honestly speaking, he hadn’t felt as happy as he did in a long time. But now he really wondered why Ryutaro hasn’t called him.
Well Chinen, you were talking about Yamada all the time, I wonder when you had the time to have a great time during your date. And Ryutaro hadn't called you since he thinks you're not yet over Yamada who, btw, is on a date with Yuto.

Ryutaro just smiled back and started walking alongside Chinen. Maybe Chinen wasn’t over his ex-boyfriend just yet. But Ryutaro hoped that in the near future he could be the one in Chinen’s heart.

at first I wanted it to be a sweet fic but then ended up like this
