Syawal has been okay for me. Visits are going on as planned even though the early part of the days are usually spend in school for FYP and daily dosages of nagging, laughters and loud bickerings. Each year we have loads of houses to visit that I'm just too tired to get anything done once I get home. Papa's side are nearly done. Left Mama's which if I remember correctly, it'll be just 2 miserable houses. I get to see Aunty Juwita little girl. OMG, she's freaking adorable la. Only 7 months and she's a knockout. What do you expect? Aunty Juwita is half Chinese and half Indian. Her husband is a Moroccon. Rojak but pretty like hell. And at 2 months, she's already flying on a 24hours flight to Morroco. Cool or what? It's too bad that Aunty Juwita do not want anymore kids. They should make more babies. Even Uncle and Aunty Nor is contented with my little cousin Hilman - who at 14, is already making full use of his half Javanese and half Chinese mix. Being 5 years younger and the one I always seem to hang out with since Uncle and Mama is so close, he's already taller than me (who isn't?) and all grown up. He still salam me whenever he sees me. Well, all my younger cousins on Mama's side still do that and they still do call me "Kak Siti." Even the ones who are of the same age as me but born in different months. Anyway, this year, we're the ones waiting.
All the small cousins are having their exams and such so my house will only start hearing noises next week onwards. Mama is always cooking when there's visitors and I'll play my part by helping to cook while I'm half-asleep. It gets boring cooking 3-4 dishes for 20 odd people. But I love when the younger ones are around. Is that a sign that I'm accepting I'm getting old already?
7th Oct will be the first Raya outing with the poly clique. Hah! First time in 3 years. Hopefully we'll get everyone down.
13th Oct will be the first day of the last semester. How? We're left with counting down to the end of the semester then.
And don't remind me what happened on Friday with Weikok. As Jim put it simply, "Oh my God Weikok. So gay siaaa." Now I know what to expect from CJ and Jim everytime they laugh.
