floors glorious floors
Well it was all worth it. Our fir floors are richly gleaming expanses of matchless beauty. They are mostly a russet amber color but with darker swirls and patches and some streaks of a lighter honey tone. I'm so excited about actually moving our furniture in to the front rooms. I can't wait to go home and dance in my stocking feet on their glory. We can't move heavy stuff in until Saturday. It just feels so good to see the fruit of all our arduous labor. We'll bask in the glow the whole month of November. Have a great halloween!
p.s. I turned down the job, I'm too well compensated here and I just couldn't stomach the thought of spending 32 hours a week in a windowless room with four other worker bees. I hereby vow that this will be my very last office job EVER. If I leave here it should be to: a) open a clothing store; b) travel/live overseas; c) publish my novel and work on the next one; or d) all of the above.
