My cousin's wedding was yesterday, which I was a bride's maid for. It was a whole lot of fun. I woke up early to go to the beauty salon. I got my hair all curly and pretty. lol. Then, I went home, put on my dress, put on some make-up and left to my other cousin's house (his uncle's) where the bride was going to be taking pictures. I got there right on time, but the bride was kind of late. lol. The photographer took tons of pictures and then the party bus limo picked us up. We went to Our Lady of Fatima church for the ceremony. When we got there, everyone, including the bride, was surprised to see Father Tony. He is an awesome priest, but he hasn't been around for the last couple of years because the bishop sent him to Chicago to take some grad classes (I believe). Bruna, the bride, was so ecstatic to see that he was there to do her wedding that once she got up to the altar, she gave him a huge hug. The ceremony was beautiful, then it was time for all of us to get to the party bus and take pictures in Westfield Park. There were like 4 brides already there taking pictures. lol. We took tons of pics. One of my younger cousins, who likes to get attention any way she can, was getting on my nerves. This was her conversation with me :
C: My make-up looks much better than yours because my aunt did it for me.
Me: Ok.
C: You look really ugly today.
Me: Ok.
C: And your hair is all messed up.
Me: Ok.
She only stopped after Amanda, another bride's maid, told her to stop because she was being really rude. Her only reply was that she only told the truth. At least it wasn't like the bridal shower, in which she was calling all the bride's maid's fat and me obese. Some of the girls are a size 2 or 4, but she went on a rant about how a size 0 was the only way to go. No wonder most of the bride's maids tried to avoid her any way possible. Geez Louise! She is so young though. She is only 12, but she has to stop acting up like this. I couldn't even believe it when she told me I looked pretty today. lol. It was really weird. I almost did a double take to make sure it was her. lol.
Anyway, then we went to the restaurant. That was the best part. I did a picture slide show for them, which came out good and the couple loved it. The food wasn't that good, but the party was awesome. Almost everyone danced all night. The bride and groom are in a band, so they even sang a couple of songs for the guests. It was a really great party.
I forgot to take my camera, so I have to wait for the photographer's proofs in order to put up some pictures. :)
Today, my mom woke me up early at 9AM, to go to Long Branch to see Anthony because he got out of jail this weekend. He has been locked up for like 5 years, so it was great to see him again. He looked really optimistic for his future and the construction company he worked for before he went to jail already told him that they want him back. I hope everything goes well for him here on out.
Then, I went and ate some lunch with the bride, groom and some family members at one of our cousin's house. It was a small post-wedding party. lol.
Then, I went to say goodbye to my godson, Marisa, Luis and their parents because I'm going to Portugal tomorrow. Right before I left to go home, my godson said he was going to miss me. I gave him such a big hug. Geez I will miss all of them. :)
That reminds me that I still have to finish packing and doing some last minute stuff. :)
If I don't come online tomorrow, let me just say right now Bye Everyone! I'll be back in 6 weeks! :)
