So much stuffing and only a little bit of turkey.

So first off there was the trip home. Fairly standard. Got to see the 'she's-not-your-replacement', looks promising. Then back to Canberra on Sunday to finish packing and see the sick male, followed by plane! where there was much not throwing up. A short bus and shuttle ride later and we're at the hotel and I gotta say 'Wow!!' about the hotel. I could so stay there again quite happily as long as the funds come out of someone else's bank account. :) That evening was the conference drinks, which I actually attended, and strangely enough some people thought I was there for the conference! Still, there were nibbles and drinks which were happily partaken of, followed up by a shared bottle in the hotel bar...boy did I sleep well that night!

Monday was all about the shopping. list and vague plan made at breakfast off I went to see if I could keep to my budget, which I managed. Belts, books and body lotion later I got back to the hotel nicely in time to set out to dinner with the rest of the party. To the Elephant and Wheelbarrow we went and had a grand old time.

Tuesday was the reading...I'd promised myself I'd do some study while I was away and I'm happy to report I did. Curled up in the squishy chair in the bar area watching people come and go. Bonus getting a fruit tart thingy when the conference paused for morning tea. We changed hotels at the end of the day and did a little bit of shopping. Wednesday morning saw a trip to the immigration museum, which was actually way more fun than it sounds so I will not be typing about the fact we didn't actually go look at the exhibits, but rather went to the public records-y area. Then there was shopping. Thursday too was about the shopping, although some of this shopping was done at the markets, and I have to say...If I lived there, getting me away from them could be an issue.

Thursday night was all about the dress up dinner, which was fantastic!!! Twas on a tramcar, and five course, and there was wine and nice waiters. Or should I say waiter, singular.

Friday there was the a shared taxi to the airport, with get this...seventeen bottles of wine!!! WTF I hear you cry...The hotel had a deal...stay with them and recieve six bottles of wine. Fair enough. What was not made so clear was the fact that it was six bottles a night! I got to dress up again on Friday night to be treated to a bloody wonderful dinner in Civic...to any who want an amazing food experience in Canberra...the place to go is Benchmark!!! absolutely fantastic.

Saturday was total bridesmaid mode!

And I'm so never going away during term time again!

While I was away it seems I got tagged by sparklechick268.

So without further delay:
Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog with six random facts about yourself. In the end you need to choose six people to be tagged and list their names.

1. I drank my first beer while at the above pub. A Boag's I believe. I also discovered I don't mind James Squire in small quantities.

2. This is the first time I've been tagged. At least that I know of. I've put my hand up and requested to do something, never been tagged.

3. I can't get my hair cut, which I've recently decided that I should. Alas I'm stuck with it until after the wedding as the hair-dos all planned.

4. I've finally fallen victim to proper smelly stuff. I'm not that big on most of the girly stuff...until now scented body lotion is about as good as it got. I'm now the proud owner of Armani Code, and boy does it smell good.

5. People tend look at me most strangely when I tell them whom I live with. I guess I'm just not the type who looks like she could match wits with four fully grown males.

6. Ok. Totally running out of even slightly worthwhile facts here...um... I can't wait to go to the bookstore and find the next Merry Gentry instalment...tis my latest book craze.

Woot done!! Good luck to...impossiblemale, el_citizen, sir_arnold, quarkz, mhalachaiswords and I'm going to leave it there because I can.

Lastly is the quiz-ness as found via spankerella

Social Life at Hogwarts

Lots of people like you, very few don't. You are nice, understanding, and don't judge people until you know them. You treat everyone fairly and make friends with practically everyone. You are very smart and cunning. You love to laugh. You have many admirers, but don't take notice.

Harry: He is in love with you, but doesn't know what to do. He's not sure if he should ask you out. He gets jealous very easily and doesn't understand how you can be nice to the Slytherins, specifically Malfoy. He wants to be the man of your dreams and hopes that you like him more than a friend.

Ron: Loves you as a friend and nothing more. He thanks you profusely for getting him and Hermione together and like Harry, he doesn't understand how you can be so nice to everyone.

Hermione: She thinks of you as her best gal pal and thanks you for getting her and Ron together. She's glad that you take your studies seriously and thinks you are great. She knows you treat people equally and respects your decisions.

Ginny: She doesn't like you because Harry loves you. She thinks you are great, but is really jealous of you. You two have grown distant, but you have hardly noticed with all the friends you have. Maybe one day you two will be friends again?

Neville: Has a little crush on you because you are the one who helps him with his schoolwork.

Fred and George: They think you are the best person in the world. You always come up with great pranks and laugh at their jokes. They love you and hope that you will always be there for a good prank.

Oliver Wood: Had a crush on you, but the age difference didn't work out right. He knows that you only love him as a friend and accepts it. He still has a crush on you, but has moved on. And that's okay with you.

Cedric Diggory: He thinks you're a good person who cares about everyone. You were the one who introduced him to Cho. He's glad you did and left this world with you as one of him close friends.Cho Chang: She is your actual bestfriend and thanks you for getting her and Cedric together. You are always there for her when she's crying about missing Cedric, and she appreciates it. You two are like sisters and she's grateful that you're her friend.

Lavender Brown: Thinks you are really nice, but doesn't like you because everyone likes you.

Draco Malfoy: He is also in love with you, like Potter. Him and Harry often fight for your affections. Is easily jealous, like Harry, and cares about you very much. He hopes that in the end you and him will be together. You are the only girl he loves and hopes you feel the same. He constantly worries about your safety and would give up everything for you.

Pansy: Hates you. Enough said.

Crabbe and Goyle: Have little crushes on you, but know that Draco would pummel them.

Dumbledore: Thinks you are a great person. Wishes you luck on choosing between Harry and Draco. He knows that you'll be a very good skilled witch in the future.

McGonagall: Also thinks you are a great student who has amazing skills, but worries that it might be very stressful to be as hardworking as you.

Hagrid: You are his favorite girl student because you didn't give up his class and always help him with the creatures. The creatures in the forbidden forest love you too. Odd huh?

Snape: He thinks you are an excellent student, doesn't like or dislike you. He knows you'd end up being a great witch.

Voldemort: Wants you to join him and hopes that you will end up with Malfoy. If you pick Harry, he plans to kill you instead of recruiting you.

Reputation: Girl who likes Draco and Harry.
