Kelly Ellis, Soma and I saw Al Gore/David Guggenheim's documentary An Inconvenient Truth last night in Georgetown, and holy shit kids, it's the scariest thing you'll ever see. You'll never again want to drive your car when you can walk, or throw out your recyclables when you're feeling lazy, or write off global warming as something that won't drastically affect the earth in your lifetime, because it already has. It's like watching a sci-fi movie, except that the evidence of how we're destroying the planet is irrefutable and terrifying.
and for any of you who live in the Virginia area, may i just say: 96 degrees in May? fuck that. i fucking hate summer as it is, i absolutely refuse to contribute to an overall global trend that leaves me with back sweat in spring.
