First bike ride of the year for me, today! Better late than never. What a beautiful day for it. I took a test drive down the alleyway, then out to NDG. I took the Landsdowne route home, and practically yelled, "Wheeee!" down the hill. I love the trees around the stone tunnel, I love crossing the train tracks and driving through St. Henri ( Read more... )

Are you referring to the Wellington Street tunnel under the Lachine canal? I used to call it the "Tobbletone" tunnel as it was paved with cobblestones which I couldn't pronounce.

Aw, cute. But no, it's the tunnel on Landsdowne, just below Ste. Catherine.

The last time i had intense stomach pain, other than labour, it turned out to be apendicitis. Thin people are more likely to get it as well. Get it checked out if it persists.

Every time I have bad stomach pain I worry that it's my appendix. Are you saying that your appendix can become painful without bursting?

For sure! I actually had 2 attacks. The first one i ignored and just layed in bed for 2 days doubled over. Several months later i had another attack. I actually spent the nite in agony, woke up the next morning, biked to school for band practice, biked home and then decided maybe i should see a doctor. He sent me to the hospital and they scheduled surgery the same day; however they wouldn't go ahead with it until my mom arrived with her insurance info. Go figure. In the end, they removed the appendix and sent it off for testing. They confirmed it was appendicitis and had caught it before it ruptured. If it does rupture, you could be in serious trouble. Jay's mom had to have some of her intestine removed because of the infection that a burst appendix can cause. So i say don't hesitate to get it checked out.

Do you think your stomach pains is a side affect from the medical research?
